Been in the area almost 6 years and I finally made it to Mack’s! It’s a small, old school diner but very popular. We walked in to a pretty decent line and customers came in consistently while we ate. I can say that we did not wait long at all. We ordered the cheeseburger and bacon cheeseburger and the both were really good! I’ll have to go back to try the chili dogs next. No complaints on service either.
Mack’s Cash Grocery is a great “hole in the wall” lunch grill. I’m a sucker for a pimento cheese burger and theirs does not disappoint, nor do their French fries or their sweet tea.
They have chicken, bbq, various biscuits for breakfast, a super friendly staff, and PLENTY of parking.
If you come during lunch you will wait - there is usually a line out the back door - but the short wait is worth it.
They have a small dining area - most take their food to go - but the tables are always clean and I’ve never had trouble finding an empty one.
This is a FANTASTIC lunch spot in Columbia. You should try it!
